I passed through some beautiful terrain since last post. The Lakes Basin and the Sierra Buttes up close surpassed expectations. It's been very hilly having to climb up many mountains each day. A little snow but nothing compared to the first couple days. I wish I carried a few more

I started the Pacific Crest Trail yesterday. I left from I-80. On my way to Sierra City at about 8000 ft on average elevation. There's still quite a bit of snow. It's not so bad to walk on because it is packed tightly. I should be there tonight or tomorrow.
